Smallcakes fills two main positions: baker and front counter. There is a lot of cleaning and organizing involved with both positions.
Bakers are not required to have any prior baking experience, knowledge, or formal training. We ask that you be comfortable following recipes, measuring ingredients, and be eager to learn! We do all the training you will need. Bake shifts are usually from 6 to 11:30 am. Bakers’ pay averages $12 an hour after tips.
Front counter workers greet and interact with customers, box up their treats, and ice cupcakes as well! An outgoing and friendly personality is a must! Front counter shifts are usually from 9:50 AM to 3:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Front counter workers’ average pay is $10 an hour after tips.
